The Gonzaga Bulldogs have some impressive offensive performers that Washington State likely made themselves very aware of in preparation for their game at midnight. Elias Harris and Robert Sacre are formidable frontcourt players while Marquise Carter is a jet-quick point guard who is more than willing to attack defenses. But if the Cougars had a plan for how to slow down freshman guard Kevin Pangos it sure didn't look like it.

Boston University great Gary PlummerIn his most recent installment in the "Forgotten Legends" interview series CHN writer spent some time with former Boston University player Gary Plummer. During his time at BU, Plummer played under both Rick Pitino and John Kuester and also helped lead the Terriers to their first NCAA appearance in 24 years in 1983. Plummer now runs the N' Your Court AAU program, which has 16 teams, personal instruction and strength & conditioning programs.

Next up in the short series of looking ahead to next season is the Southwest region, where things essentially went haywire the first weekend. Advancing to San Antonio was the top seed Kansas and seeds 10 through 12, and when the dust settled VCU won the region. A number of teams have some important personnel issues to address, but the Jayhawks won't be the lone team expected to contend for their league title out of this region in 2011-12.
