Xavier star Tu Holloway headlines's Preseason Mid-Major All-America teams. He's joined by fellow seniors Andrew Nicholson of St Bonaventure and Drew Gordon of New Mexico. With the likes of Xavier, Temple, New Mexico, Gonzaga, and Memphis all capable of making runs in March, this could be a banner year for the Non-BCS conference schools.

Matt Howard has been one of the heroes of the Big Dance thus farTo say the least this subject of CHN writer Jon Teitel's "Big Dance" interview series had a good opening weekend. Butler forward Matt Howard scored the game-winning points in both of Butler's win, scoring on a offensive rebound in the second round win over Old Dominion and following that up with a free throw with 0.8 seconds remaining in their win over top-seed Pittsburgh. Howard's had quite the career in Indianapolis, and he and his teammates aren't done yet. Butler takes on Wisconsin in a Southeast Region semifinal on Thursday night.

Earlier Sunday CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with Boston University head coach Patrick Chambers, who led the Terriers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2002 with a 56-54 win over Stony Brook in the America East title game. Boston University avoided the first round in Dayton but they did not avoid the 16-line as they will face Kansas on Friday in Tulsa.

Greg Kampe's Golden Grizzlies are back in the Big Dance

As part of his "Big Dance" interview series CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with Oakland head coach Greg Kampe as his Golden Grizzlies will make their second consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. Coach Kampe's Golden Grizzlies dominated the Summit League, losing just one of their 18 league games to go along with a solid showing in their non-conference slate. Oakland drew a 13-seed with Texas being their first round matchup this week.

Keith Benson helped lead Oakland to a 2nd straight Summit League crownAs part of his "Big Dance" interview series CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with Oakland senior center Keith Benson, who helped lead the Golden Grizzlies to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Oakland drew Texas in the first round, which should provide a nice challenge for all involved given the NBA-level big men that will be on display (Benson and Texas' Tristan Thompson).

Jon Teitel: Your father Keith Sr. and uncle Hilton both played basketball in college, and your uncle Manny played 6 years in the ABA and NBA.

Head coach B.J. Hill led the Bears to their first NCAA TournamentRecently CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with two important pieces to the puzzle for the Big Sky champion Northern Colorado Bears, head coach B.J. Hill and guard Devon Beitzel. Beitzel was named Big Sky Player of the Year and also was MVP of the conference tournament, with the Bears beating Montana 65-50 in the title game. Northern Colorado will make their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance this week.
