The first two questions in our college hoops "roundtable", where I ask some college basketball writers what their thoughts are on some of the hot topics in the game, centered around conference realignment and the new recruiting rules.
Jon Teitel's "Coaching Greats" Series: Florida State and Georgia's Hugh Durham
In the latest installment in his "Coaching Greats" interview series CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with Hugh Durham. During his time as a college coach Durham led two programs (Florida State and Georgia) to their first (and to this date only) Final Four appearances, with Florida State losing to UCLA in the 1972 NCAA title game.
Jon Teitel: You were a highly-recruited athlete coming out of Eastern (KY) HS (all-state QB and all-region in basketball), and as a basketball player at Florida State your 18.9 career PPG is still top 10 in school history.
Jon Teitel's "Forgotten Legends" Series: Rutgers' Roy Hinson
In the most recent installment in his "Forgotten Legends" interview series, CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with Rutgers great Roy Hinson. During his time at Rutgers Hinson eventually became one of the school's best scorers and shot blockers before moving on to play eight seasons in the NBA.

Jon Teitel's "Coaching Greats" Series: Saint Mary's Randy Bennett
In the most recent installment in his "Coaching Greats" interview series CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with Saint Mary's head coach Randy Bennett, who has won 208 games and led the Gaels to three NCAA appearances during his time in Moraga. Under Bennett's watch the Gaels have become a perennial contender in the West Coast Conference, with the high point being their Sweet 16 appearance in 2010.
Jon Teitel: Before becoming team captain at UCSD in the 1980s you played basketball at Mesa Community College for your father Tom (who never had a losing season in 19 years).
Jon Teitel's "Forgotten Legends" Series: Texas Tech's Geoff Huston
In the most recent installment in his "Forgotten Legends" interview series, CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with Texas Tech great Geoff Huston. After a four-year campaign in Lubbock Huston was drafted by the Knicks in 1979, and he went on to play for five teams in the NBA.
Jon Teitel: You grew up in NYC, which has produced more NBA players than any other city. What was the competition like in the Big Apple?
Jon Teitel's "Coaching Greats" Series: Northern Colorado's George Sage
In the latest installment in his "Coaching Greats" interview series CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with former Northern Colorado head coach Dr. George Sage. In five seasons in Greeley Dr. Sage went 95-36 and led the Bears to four conference titles. Dr. Sage also played baseball and basketball at UNC, with one of his achievements being a win in the 1955 College World Series over USC.
Jon Teitel: You played basketball and baseball at UNC (including a 6-hitter in a 2-1 win over USC in the 1955 College World Series).
Jon Teitel's "Forgotten Legends" Series: Boston University's Gary Plummer
In his most recent installment in the "Forgotten Legends" interview series CHN writer spent some time with former Boston University player Gary Plummer. During his time at BU, Plummer played under both Rick Pitino and John Kuester and also helped lead the Terriers to their first NCAA appearance in 24 years in 1983. Plummer now runs the N' Your Court AAU program, which has 16 teams, personal instruction and strength & conditioning programs.
Jon Teitel's "Coaching Greats" Series: DePaul's Ray Meyer
In the latest installment in his "Coaching Greats" interview series CHN writer discussed the career of the late Ray Meyer with his son Joey. In 42 seasons at DePaul Meyer won 724 games and coached legendary players such as George Mikan and Mark Aguirre.

In the latest installment in his "Forgotten Legends" interview series CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with Rick Bullock, one of the greatest players in Texas Tech history. Bullock ranks in the top three in four major categories: points, rebounds, blocked shots and field goal percentage.
