Daily Bracketology: Monday's Tournament Projection
Daily Bracketology
Another day, another Field of 65. As you should know by now, I'm projecting the NCAA Tournament field on a daily basis for the rest of the year (except no Saturday's since there's little action Friday). This is a field based on how the tourney looks "as of this moment." For one-bid leagues, I simply include the conference leader at the time of publishing. In case of ties, I use my projected winner.
Arrows indicate a team that moved up or down based on last night's performance. (Just because a team won or lost doesn't necessarily mean they'll move substantially.)
Note on Monday's Movement: Despite the big Wake upset, Duke only drops down one spot.. due to a higher RPI than other 2-loss teams and because of the win over UNC. For the first time all season, Wake moves into postseason discussion.. being the 3rd team out of the field. USC, who lost to UCLA, drops down to a 9 seed, which allows BYU to jump into an 8 for the first time. Overrated Ohio State lost to Michigan, dropping them to 47th in RPI and down to a 10 seed, bumping up West Virginia. If this was my personal field, I wouldn't even have OSU in it most likely.. but my role here is a realistic projection of the field.
