With some of the best newcomers in the country, the Big 12 is building an underrated talent-base. While teams like Kansas and Texas get attention, the bottom half of the league still has some quality players.

1. Brandon Rush, SG, Kansas - Iffy pick for #1, but can do it all if healthy
2. DJ Augustin, PG, Texas - Has a chance to be the nation's best point guard
3. Michael Beasley, PF, Kansas State - Freshman is a preseason CHN All-American
4. Aleks Maric, C, Nebraska - Hard to argue with 19 and 9 per game
5. Curtis Jerrells, SG, Baylor - Has a chance to lead the conference in scoring

6. Richard Roby, G/F, Colorado - An improved team should help Roby get back to All-Conference level
7. Sherron Collins, G Kansas - Minutes should go up substantially in second season
8. Martin Zeno, SG, Texas Tech - Quality scorer also does the little things
9. Bill Walker, SF, Kansas State - Right there with Beasley as league's most physically gifted player
10. Darrell Arthur, PF, Kansas - Showed flashes last year, but must capitalize on immense potential
11. Joseph Jones, PF, Texas A&M - Big body is A&M's anchor on both sides of the ball
12. Stefhon Hannah, G, Missouri - Put up gaudy numbers, but point guard skills need work
13. Mario Chalmers, G, Kansas - Quality shooter can also defend the perimeter
14. Aaron Bruce, PG, Baylor - Leader is at the forefront of Baylor turnaround
15. Wesley Johnson, F, Iowa State - Sophomore is Cyclones best player
16. DeAndre Jordan, PF, Texas A&M - Physical specimen still lacks all-around game
17. Josh Carter, SG, Texas A&M - Junior wing can bomb from long-range but becoming more of a pure scorer
18. David Hoskins, SF, Kansas State - Solid senior overlooked behind young guns
19. AJ Abrams, SG, Texas - One dimensional player will continue to hit threes
20. Kevin Rogers, PF, Baylor - Becoming more than just a powerful finisher
21. Blake Griffin, PF, Oklahoma - Will start from day one, and has chance to be special
22. Longar Longar, PF, Oklahoma - Physical presence down low, has room to get better in senior year
23. Byron Eaton, PG, Oklahoma State - Overweight junior still hasn't lived up to potential
24. Damion James, PF, Texas - Great athlete quietly had solid freshman season
25. James Anderson, SG, Oklahoma State - Put up crazy numbers in HS, should see major minutes
