Bracketology: March 14

2009 Final Four

2009 Final Four

The Bracketology field is based on how the tourney looks "as of this moment." Arrows indicate the amount of seeds a team moved since the last update. (Just because a team won or lost doesn't necessarily mean they'll move substantially though.)

Why should you care what I have to say? Did you know, last year I was considered to have one of the Top 2 or 3 brackets (depending on the scoring rubric) amongst 53 national experts including Joe Lunardi, Gary Parrish and the like).

Movement:

Previous update was March 13th (9 PM). Arrows indicate movement by seed. Two arrows equals a change of two seeds, etc..

Update as of 3/14, 11:30 AM

Temple & Duquesne will meet in the A-10 finals, meaning that the bubble has burst for.. Saint Mary's. Baylor, USC, and Nevada, and less-likely Tulsa, could all knock bubble teams out with tourney wins today. You have to figure at least one of those teams will win today.. sorry Creighton. Utah & BYU swap places in the 7-8 range, with the Utes advancing to the MWC finals. UCLA's loss to USC allows Gonzaga to to jump into a four spot.  Siena and BC switch spots in the 9-10 zone, not because of BC's close loss to Duke, but simply RPI changes. Another win by SDSU moves them closer into lock position.
