I’d like to preface this by saying just how much I do not like the concept of preseason polls. Yes they’re great conversation pieces, but how much is really known about what each team will do in the upcoming season? I’m more a fan of waiting a couple of weeks, allowing voters to get a picture of each team so they can make an informed decision. As for the coaches: not really sure what to do there. Some take the responsibility seriously while others pass the buck to their SID, and that shouldn’t be the way in which the Coaches Poll should work.

 

Hopping off of the soapbox, it’s time, now that I've previewed all the conferences, to pick my own Top 25 and what I believe the BCS matchups will be. Converse all you want; the good thing is that all the paper and web space used for previews mean nothing now that the season has officially started. Enjoy.
