We’re still one weekend away from the Super Bowl, which means for the first time in ages, this will be a weekend with no football games. No Tebow, no Bradford, no Polamalu, no Fitzgerald – none of them. But don’t worry- there’s still plenty of reasons to spend the weekend on the couch…like some monster in-conference match-ups in the Big East and an in-state clash in Rocky Top. Here’s some games to look out for:

 

As the college basketball season turns just a month old, it appears that one ACC team has already fallen out of contention for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

As Virginia Tech lost to a potential SEC cellar-dwelling opponent in Georgia on Tuesday night, the Hokies affirmed, yet again, that it just does not have the heart to compete for forty minutes this season. They are just nine points away from being undefeated but instead sport a 5-4 record.

 

 

The big focus this weekend is on college football for many sports fans, with conference and national title implications hinging on a number of rivalry games.

But don't forget about hoops either. Here are a few games to keep an eye on while you're digging through those leftovers.
