College Football: Clemson @ #21 Wake Forest Preview

While none of the three matchups taking place before Saturday will approach the hype surrounding the Red River Rivalry and LSU/Florida games, they are intriguing affairs nonetheless. The ACC Atlantic took another turn last weekend with Maryland getting shut out by Virginia, so the Thursday night battle between Clemson and Wake Forest is back to setting the tone for the divisional race. Also taking place on Thursday is UAB visiting a Houston team that may be the only challenger to explosive Tulsa in Conference USA's West Division.

Going through the BCS leagues this week, I'll be projecting the starting fives for each team. Also included is the team's most important bench option, and some notes on other possible lineups.

Wake Forest Basketball Schedule: 2008-09

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest's 29-game regular season schedule was released by the Atlantic Coast Conference office on Tuesday afternoon. The schedule is highlighted by 15 home games at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, a Thanksgiving trip to the Anaheim Classic and nine appearances on the ESPN/ABC family of networks.

Wake Forest's Jamie Skeen Suspended for Fall Semester

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.Wake Forest men’s basketball player Jamie Skeen will not be with the Demon Deacon team during the fall semester, as announced by head coach Dino Gaudio on Tuesday. Skeen has been suspended by the University due to a violation of academic policy.
