Along with our writer Final Four Picks and our writer Upset Picks, we present our All-Tournament Team picks. No surprise that Kevin Love and Tyler Hansbrough dominate the selections, but there's certainly no consensus. The player in bold is that writer's Most Outstanding Player pick.
We've made our predictions, but what do other national experts and media publications have to say? Here's a sampling of what some of the big names say about the 2008 NCAA Tournament. Note that just about everyone picked UNC and UCLA to make the finals.. either we're all stupid or there's really two clear-cut favorites this year. Time will tell.
Need help picking the Final Four? CHN writers give their predictions below and we try and come up with some semblance of a consensus. The only real consistent choice is that they all love UCLA. See how these picks compare to CHN's Official Prediction.
Some thoughts on an exciting Championship Week Saturday.. with an eye on the Big Dance:
- Tulsa learned in a big way this morning that Memphis owns the CUSA. Having won 10 of 13 games, and with 20 overall, the Golden Hurricanes are hoping they've done enough to impress the NIT selection committee. Regardless, the emergence of 7-0 big man Jerome Jordan is a great sign for the future.
Pacific 10 (31-3, 16-2)
The last couple weeks of the democratic primary race made me realize that OJ Mayo is Hillary Clinton and Kevin Love is Barrack Obama. I do not mean this in terms of basketball skill, style, or personality, but instead in terms of how the media has treated the two Pac-10 freshmen.
Thanks to our friends over at Icon Sports Media, we now have access to thousands of great college basketball photos to use on the site. Each day, CHN will feature a Picture of the Day, which might include a newsworthy, funny, or simply interesting subject. At the bottom will be a caption or headline that might be informative or amusing. The possibilities are endless!
