Daily Bracketology: One Day to Go!
Note on Saturday's Movement: The bubble is still highly unclear this morning (that makes it fun..), though Saint Joseph's obviously helped themselves tremendously by beating Xavier. What would be interesting though is if Temple beats them today.. whether the committee would take 3 A10 teams. I moved Oregon into the last spot in the field, replacing Ohio State who lost a well-fought game to Michigan State. The reality though is that any team below a 10 seed should be terribly insecure heading into Sunday evening.
At the top of the bracket, the big winner of the day is Drake, who moves up to a 4 seed following Purdue's loss to lowly Illinois. In the middle of the bracket, Pittsburgh moves up to a 7 seed by beating ranked Marquette, knocking USC down to the top 8 seed. Davidson and Arkansas join USC as 8 seeds, replacing Miami and Kansas State who fizzled out of their respective tournaments. *I put up an early morning edition before the new RPI #'s came in. At noon, there was an update based on the new #'s.. which included MSU replacing Purdue as a 5 seed, Clemson replacing Gonzaga as a 6, and Temple moving up to the 2nd to last team out.
