Daily Bracketology: Selection Sunday Afternoon
This is a mid-afternoon update following last night's hectic midnight edition. In this latest version, I have the benefit of the new RPI #'s.. and there were some major shifts overnight. Pittsburgh is the biggest beneficiary, moving to a 3 seed as their RPI soars to 15th. Arkansas is now the top 7 seed, and would most likely be a top 6 seed if they win the SEC Championship. Mississippi State drops to a 9 seed, allowing Miami to move up. The Hurricanes are 7 spots higher than MSU according to the computer. Down at the bubble, Illinois State is now the last team in.. with Ohio State hot on their tail. Finally, Fullerton locked up the Big West title late last night and jumps past two other 15 seeds.
