College: Tulsa
Class: Junior
Position: C
Height: 7’0”
Weight: 240lbs
Accolades: C-USA All-Defensive Team (08), C-USA All-Tournament Team (08).
Scouting Report: A long, athletic seven-footer.
Strengths: Athletic. Can run the floor well for a big man. Long wingspan. Nice jump hook. Good hands. Good passer out of the double team. Very good scorer. Good at drawing fouls. Very good rebounder at both ends of the floor. Great shot blocker. Efficient scorer. Improved steadily each year in college.
Weaknesses: Thin - needs to put on weight/muscle. Doesn’t always go up strong. Turns the ball over too much. Foul prone. Will be 23-years-old before the start of next season. Still a raw player - game needs more work. Didn’t play in a top conference.
Projected 2009 Draft Range: Late first round to early second round pick.
Consensus: Jerome Jordan is definitely worth taking a risk on with a late first round/early second round pick. There aren’t too many seven footers with his skills and athleticism.
