Hard worker with a great
3 point shot. Also moves and cuts real well on the floor and can get to
the rim to score. Hustles on defense and collects a lot of steals.
Strengths:
Shooting, both behind the arc and close range. Great moving without the
ball due to West Virginia’s offense (full of cuts and motion). A
scrappy player who hustles all over the floor and plays bigger than he
is.
Weaknesses:
Doesn’t possess NBA size or athleticism to play the wing spots. Also is
not a NBA point guard.
Projected 2006 Draft Range:
Early second round.
Consensus:
Gansey might stick on a NBA roster due to his shooting
ability and hard nose play. Shouldn’t be anything more than a role
player though.
