SATURDAY - MARCH 29TH
6:40
PM
Xavier
(7) vs
UCLA
(1)
![]()
WHY: CBS starts things off with the least exciting of the four games.. Xavier won't be given much of a chance, but always shows up to play
TEMPO: Average
ODDS: UCLA by 6
PRO PROSPECTS: UCLA - Kevin Love, Darren Collison, Russell Westbrook; Xavier - Josh Duncan, Derrick Brown
KEY: Point guard play. Collison has been inconsistent.. while Xavier's offense can sputter if Lavender's not contributing
EXPECT: Xavier to get into an early hole, fight back strong, but eventually lose by 5

Louisville
(4) vs
North Carolina

WHY: Stephen Curry aside.. this is the best game to me. Louisville is quietly one of the Top 4 National Title contenders.
TEMPO: Fast
ODDS: UNC by 5.5
PRO PROSPECTS: Louisville - Earl Clark, Terrence Williams, Derrick Caracter, Juan Palacios; UNC - Ty Lawson, Tyler Hansbrough, Wayne Ellington, Danny Green, Deon Thompson
KEY: David Padgett. Some think L'Ville can't handle Hansbrough, but the Cardinal big men are underrated
EXPECT: Hansbrough won't dominate as Padgett & Caracter show up to play. L'Ville will go stagnant on offense at times, but will cover the spread
SUNDAY MARCH 30TH
WHY: The fact this is the 2nd worst game is exactly why this weekend is a dream for basketball fans
TEMPO: Depends
ODDS: ?
PRO PROSPECTS: Texas - DJ Augustin, Damion James, Connor Atchley; Memphis - Derrick Rose, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Joey Dorsey, Antonio Anderson
KEY: Texas Threes. Memphis is no Stanford, and the Horns (especially AJ Abrams) will need to hit their outside shots.
EXPECT: Abrams good early tourney run comes to an end, and despite the emergence of Damion James, the Tigers will be too much
5:05
Davidson
(10) vs
Kansas (2)

WHY: CBS is rightfully hyping Stephen Curry.. and America hopes he has some magic left
TEMPO: Above Average
ODDS: ?
PRO PROSPECTS: Davidson - Stephen Curry; Kansas - Darrell Arthur, Brandon Rush, Mario Chalmers, Sasha Kaun
KEY: Jason Richards. Kansas will score enough to overcome 30 from Curry, so the Wildcats need major help from their PG.
EXPECT: Davidson will come out fighting, but Kansas has the style that troubles them (like Gonzaga) as compared to G'Town and Wisconsin
