The 2006 NCAA Tournament will be the 4th in
Collegehoops.net's young history. Needless to say, the site has come a
long way since that first March Madness back in the winter of 2003. In
fact, we're expecting close to 25,000 visitors per day during this coming
March, almost 20 times growth since 2003.A lot of
writers have come and gone over the past few years, but the overall concept
behind CHN has stayed consistent. To simply provide fans with obsessive
daily coverage of college basketball that they can't find anywhere else.
With Conference Tournament's just a few weeks away, the
NCAA Tournament right after that, and our popular NBA Draft coverage taking
center stage following the Final Four, I thought now would be the perfect time
to look back on some of the best article's in CHN's young history.
Since no vote was taken, and the choices are of the
subjective nature, what criteria did I use to determine this list? First
off, not that it really affected anything, but I took any article that I
penned out of the running. Second, I felt it was important to spread the
love out. No writer could have more than two articles included (and two,
Adam Glatczak and Adam Stanco are represented twice.)
Besides representing multiple authors, this list was
also intended to represent each season of CHN's existence. At least one
article was included for each season going back to 02-03. Other criteria
include the popularity of the article (the reader knows best..), the writing
quality, it's sheer epic nature, or its pertinence to the time it was written.
There have been thousands of articles published on CHN
over the past few years, so clearly I wasn't able to go back and read them
all. Some quality articles that stuck out in my mind have since been
deleted from the attic of our web server. Other gems may have been
bypassed because they didn't fit the criteria noted above, or maybe I just
flat out overlooked them. Regardless, I'm proud to present the Top 10
