Mark your calendars.. here
are the top 20 games of 2005. Some of them are obvious like Duke
and UNC, but others you might not have expected. With all these
great games in store for the next few months, it should be an exciting
journey to the 2005 Final Four.
Duke at UNC, March 6:
Classic rivalry where UNC probably will finally enter as the favorite.
Illinois at Wisconsin, January 25:
#1 Illinois goes into 'Sconsin where the Badgers try to extend the
nations longest home winning streak.
Oklahoma St. at Kansas, February 27:
Seniors in the spotlight in a big-time Big 12 clash.
Arizona at Washington, February 24:
Both are legit national title contenders.
UNC at UConn, February 13:
Two of the most talented teams in the country meet in Storrs for a
high-flying, high-scoring showdown.
6. Maryland at Wake Forest, January 11:
Like great point guard play? Aren't too many better than Paul or
Syracuse at UConn, March 5:
Last two national champs know how to play big games in March.
Kentucky at Alabama, February 26:
The only time these two meet; young talent will be on display in
Creighton at Southern Illinois, February
12: Take a good look at them now, chances
are one of them will be upsetting your favorite team come March...
Cincinnati at Louisville, February 2:
Class of the C-USA meet in a showdown of two very successful coaches.
Gonzaga at St. Mary's, January 8:
Forget about the Gaels' shaky play of late, this is Gonzaga's best shot
for a conference loss.
12. Penn at Princeton, March 8:
The implications of this Ivy League showdown are almost always enormous.
Texas at Oklahoma St., March 5:
Experience vs. Youth, but as they say there are no such things as
Freshmen in March.
Michigan St. at Iowa, February 5:
No bigger surprise this season than the Hawkeyes, will look to continue
their winning ways when Izzo's Spartans come to town.
Syracuse at Pitt, January 29:
Sorry guys, but you won't be able to run away from tough competition
come Big East play.

Laughing yet? Michigan and Kansas weren't after their games against
these two strong American East teams.
