Dartmouth's Pattman is Ivy POW

HANOVER, N.H. - Dartmouth's Leon Pattman (Memphis, Tenn.) was named the Ivy League player of the week, after leading the Big Green men's basketball team o a pair of victories.

Pattman scored a combined 50 points in an 80-73 overtime thriller against Harvard and in a 66-58 victory over Army.

On January 6 against the Crimson, the senior poured in a season-high 27 points to go along with four blocked shots, two rebounds and two assists. In regulation, he scored Dartmouth's last four points (on two layups) to force the overtime.

In the extra session, Pattman had seven of Dartmouth's 16 points, including a 3-pointer with 2:40 remaining, putting the Big Green ahead for good.

On January 2 against Army, Pattman led all scorers with 23 points in the win. He added four rebounds and two assists, going 6-of-8 from the floor and 4-of-5 beyond the arc.

On the season, Pattman is averaging a team-leading 18.4 points per game to go long with 4.3 rebounds. He's shooting 50 percent from the floor and 86.4 ercent from the free throw line.

Dartmouth returns to action on Friday, January 12, traveling to Harvard for an Ivy League rematch. Game time is 7 p.m.
