* In Georgia's only game last week, Gaines helped lead the Bulldogs to a 96-83 neutral-court win over 16th-rated Gonzaga.
* He scored 21 points and added team-high totals in rebounds (8), assists (5) and steals (6).
* His 21 points were the second-highest total of his career and his six steals matched his career best.
* Gaines has resumed his status from last season as the Bulldogs' leading rebounder at 5.4 boards per game and he also leads the team in assists and steals.

SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Jodie Meeks, Kentucky

* Meeks recorded a career-high and game-high 18 points in helping lead the Wildcats to a 61-49 win over in-state rival Louisville in Freedom Hall.
* He nailed a personal best four three pointers, including a three-pointer at the 10:20 mark of the second half that put Kentucky on top to stay.
* Meeks hit 4-of-5 from the free throw line including three in a row when he was fouled in the act of shooting a three-pointer. His three free throws extended the Kentucky lead to eight points with 6:36 remaining putting the game out of reach for the Wildcats.
