Games of the Day: Indiana at Ohio State

Games of the Night

A companion to our daily Three Stars of the Day, we present the top three Games of the Night.

#13 Indiana (19-3) at Ohio State (16-7)

1:00 PM CBS

In my opinion, this is easily the most intriguing game of the day. Indiana hasn't been playing great ball of late, losing to UCONN and then Wisconsin followed up by an overtime win over lowly Illinois earlier in the week. The main reason for Indiana's struggles in those games is the play of Eric Gordon. With a wrist that's still not 100% mixed in with a bit of fatigue, Gordon's offensive efficiency isn't close to what it was earlier in the season. Outside of the always steady White, the rest of Gordon's teammates just aren't very good, so they need to get him going again. I still like Indiana against a rather pedestrian OSU team, but the score should be close the whole way.

Prediction: Indiana

Clemson (17-5) at #3 North Carolina (21-2)

12:00 PM ESPN

UNC's coming off the home loss to Duke, but this time Lawson's back in the lineup. The fact the Heels lost last time will only make them more sharp and aggressive. I don't give Clemson much of a chance here and I don't even like them with a 9.5 point spread. So why is this the 2nd best game of the night? It still features two NCAA Tournament teams.

Prediction: North Carolina

Arizona State (14-7) at Arizona (15-7)

2:30 PM FSN

Two teams with similar records meet in Tucson, but one has exceeded expectations while the other has underperformed. Its hard to know what to expect out of Arizona on any given night, but they still have to be the favorite at home. Budinger is coming off a bad game against UCLA, and he'll need to score 20+ or ASU's defense will be too much.

Prediction: Arizona
