Games of the Night
A companion to our daily Three Stars of the Day, we present the top three Games of the Night.
7:00 PM ESPN2
These interstate rivals meet up as ranked teams for the first time in almost 40 years. Vanderbilt is a few seconds away from still being unbeaten, while the Vols haven't lost in 6 weeks. Tennessee has managed to win a lot of close game, including an 85-83 home win over Ole Miss last week. Eventually, their good luck will run out if they don't put lesser teams away early. But I don't think tonight will be that night.. they're healthy and just too deep for Vandy.
#25 Arizona State (13-2) at California (11-4)
The Sun Devils somehow come into this game ranked (as high as 22nd in the AP) and with a gaudy 13-2 record. But now we finally get to see if this team is legit or not. ASU's true road record is 0-0. Until they prove they can win on the road, I'm not jumping on their bandwagon.
#13 Marquette (13-2) at Louisville (12-4)
7:00 PM ESPN
The Golden Eagles have won two straight in league play, but didn't come close to winning their lone Big East road game. Louisville heads into this game as confident (and healthy) as they've been all year, having won 7 of 8 games
