Lasme is A-10 Player of the Week

AMHERST, Mass. - UMass senior forward Stephane Lasme was named the A-10 Player of Week on Sunday. In UMass' 2-0 week, Lasme averaged 22 points 13 rebounds and 8.5 blocks per game while shooting 16 of 21 from the floor as UMass beat George Washington and Temple.

Lasme became just the 23rd player in NCAA history to post multiple triple-doubles in the same season as he had 23 points, 15 rebounds , and a UMass record tying 11 blocked shots in the win over GW. In the win over Temple he had 21 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks. He had 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 blocks in the second half alone after foul trouble in the first half.

Lasme is second in the nation in blocked shots (5.35) as he leads the league in blocks and rebounds at 9.9 per game.

It is the third time he was named A-10 Player of the Week in his career.
