Three Stars of The Day

Continuing a new daily feature on, the Three Stars of the day.  We handpick the best performances of the day, whether it be stat lines that make you drool, or clutch performances.  Either way, its our way of showing the love:

Patty Mills - Saint Mary's

The year of the freshman is creeping down to the mid-major level, where Mills' 37 point outburst helped SMC upend #11 Oregon

Kevin Love - UCLA

Love has been Mr Consistency during his first five games, hovering around 20 and 10 every night, including 21 and 11 against MSU

Gerald Henderson - Duke

I was down on Henderson last year, but the new improved version scored a career-best 23 points last night in Maui

Other Top Performers

Jaycee Carroll - Utah State - Carroll and the Aggies haven't gotten off to a great, but his 20 point, 7 rebound, 8 assist night helped put away APSU

Eric Gordon - Indiana - For the second time in three games, Gordon hit the 30-point plateau in a blowout win over UNCW

Leo Lyons - Missouri - The Tigers good start continues thanks to the junior, who had the best game of his life with 23 points and 11 boards
