When it comes time to pick your NCAA Bracket, its a good strategy to focus on teams with superstar players. Just look at UCONN last year: Kemba Walker put the Huskies on his back and led them to a surprise National Championship.

Which individual stars will lead their teams to success in the 2012 Tournament? It might be household stars like Anthony Davis, or lesser known stars like Casper Ware and Nate Wolters. Here are the 68 best players in the Dance:

College Basketball Top 100 Players: Davis Now #1

The Collegehoops.net Top 100 is the ultimate ranking of college basketball's best players. Almost two months have gone by since our last update, and many opinions have changed . Some players such as WVU's Kevin Jones have continued to improve, while others such as Kentucky's Terrence Jones have disappointed. There was also a major change at the top, where Anthony Davis has taken the #1 spot from Jared Sullinger. Sullinger certainly hasn't been playing bad, but Davis has proven to be on the biggest defensive forces college basketball has seen in years. Remember, the CHN Top 100 Ranking is based on the following criteria:

A) Performance/stats

B) Skill/talent

C) Pro potential

D) Inangibles/value to team.

College Basketball Top 100 Players: Sullinger Still #1

The Collegehoops.net Top 100 is the ultimate ranking of college basketball's best players. Barely a month into the 2011-12 season, we've had ample time to form our first impressions. Some players have surprised, others have disappointed, while others are playing up to their usual standard. Outside of Kentucky's rookie class, this year's crop of freshmen have not overwhelmed, and sophomores (led by Jared Sullinger) are making a bigger impression than usual. Four of our top five players are sophomores. No doubt as the season wears on and more games are played, this list will shuffle accordingly. Check back at New Year's for our next update.

D) Impact/value to team.

With over 3,000 players, Division I basketball is loaded with talent. The gap between player 100 and 125 is slim, and the gap between player 500 and 600 is even slimmer. Here are the 25 players who came closest to making the CHN Top 100 Player Ranking. All are just a few good weeks away from making the Top 100, or just a few bad weeks away from being surpassed by unlisted stars.

The CHN Top 100 ranking is based on the following four criteria: A) Performance/accomplishments, B) Skill/talent, C) Pro potential, D) Intangible impact to team. Keep in mind that all things being equal, a sophomore of equal worth to a team than a senior would be ranked higher due to their future growth potential.
