RENO, Nev. - Sophomore guard Tyler Newbold hit a 12-foot baseline jumper with 3.1 seconds remaining to complete Utah State's improbable comeback from a 13-point halftime deficit as it defeated New Mexico State, 71-70, here at the Lawlor Events Center Friday night.

 

With the win, Utah State advances to the championship game of the WAC Tournament for the third time in its four years in the league, and for the eighth time in its last 10 years overall.
