Pitt's MVP

February 12th, 2010

Pittsburgh started the season exceptionally, especially considering Maine Dixon's injury and Brown's suspension.

Much of that credit falls to Ashton Gibbs and Travon Woodall. Wannamaker has been incredible in the last few weeks, broadening his contributions to include slashing, running the floor, and improved on-ball defense.

Unfortunately, the Panthers have not collected a high profile win since January 2nd. Losses to Georgetown at the Pete and road losses to South Florida and Seton Hall hurt the most.

NEC Weekend Preview: "Separation Weekend"?

February 11th, 2010
Northeast Conference

With six games left in the regular season this is a big weekend for the NEC with spots three through ten separated by just two games. Robert Morris and Quinnipiac look to be the class of the NEC while Wagner and Bryant have an uphill climb to say the least in regards to simply making the tournament. The most important game on Thursday's schedule: Mount St. Mary's visiting Monmouth with both things in the thick of the NEC race for at the least a spot in the NEC Tournament.
