Will Ernie Kent Get Fired in the Off-Season? Question of the Week

February 4th, 2009

Each week I pose a Question of the Week for you the reader to chew on (masticate if you prefer) and digest..

This Week's Question: Will Ernie Kent Get Fired in the Off-Season?

This past July, Oregon extended head coach Ernie Kent's contract through the 2012-13 season. This was, at the time even, pretty surprising news to most who thought Kent's job wasn't even secure heading into the season. He's paid back the program by leading the Ducks to a 6-15 start, 0-9 in Pac-10 play. Since Kent earns a little over $1 million in salary, he's so far earning over $150,000 per win.

With this in mind, and the consensus that Kent's teams have mostly underachieved for the past 5 seasons, do you think Kent gets the axe before next season?

Lets hear what you have to say.. Post your comments below!
